This module introduces the use of SolidWorks mechanical design software for creating parametric models of parts and assemblies and for generating drawings of those parts and assemblies.
A first experience in mechanical design is required ; overall experience with the Windows operating system.
Basic principles and SolidWorks user interface, introduction to sketching, modeling simple parts (prismatic and revolution), use of advanced solid features (rehearsal, shells and ribs, scans, ...), use of drawings, upward assembly.
